Georgi Krastev

Georgi Krastev is a professional philologist and scholar of Esoteric Buddhism and tantric traditions, specialising in their Sanskrit sources and interested in their rituals and dissemination out of India through China and into Japan. He is particularly engaged with the relationship between East Asian spiritual traditions, such as Daoism, Esoteric and Zen Buddhism and martial culture and especially with its texts, tradition and development in Japan. He is one of the two chief research officers of the Taisha-ryū Historical Research Group (THRG).
