Kathleen Sheppard

Dr. Kathleen Sheppard is professor of history at Missouri S&T, in Rolla, Missouri. She earned her PhD in the history of science from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. Her main research interest is the work of women in Egyptology and telling these amazing stories to anyone who will listen. She loves to read old letters, diaries, and archives to try to put timelines together of activities, family and friend connections, and what happened in someone’s life. She loves to be a little like a detective, chasing down census data, newspaper obituaries, last wills & testaments, probates, and photographs. She loves to tell these stories to anyone who will listen (or read!).
