An accomplished educator and author, Taylor Rivers has a wealth of experience "in the trenches" with the problems teens face coming to grips with sex, their sexuality and relationships. He taught in private middle and high schools in the Washington, DC and San Diego areas, and as a graduate assistant at UCLA and the University of Virginia. While in law school at UC Berkeley, Taylor published a case note in The California Law Review, one of the top law reviews in the country, and taught business law at Mira Costa College in Oceanside, California. Taylor has volunteered extensively for more than two decades as a substitute teacher, coach, and youth leader. He understands and resonates with teens, and wrote this book to help other young people who may be confused, questioning or experiencing real challenges. In Teens, Sex and Sexuality, he tackles a wide variety of issues that cause stress and anxiety in teens, and is honored and humbled to have gained the confidence of so many young people over the years. Written specifically for teens (but also understandable by their parents), it is non-judgmental, readable, witty, and relevant, providing information, insights and practical suggestions for teens as they face the challenges and pressures of growing up. It is Taylor’s intention and hope that this book will inform, inspire and encourage its readers to embrace and enjoy this amazing part of their lives.
