Monkey Buddies

Known as Ms. Chrissi by her students and their families, Christina Dennis lives and works in beautiful Morgantown, West Virginia. Ms. Chrissi is a PreK teacher in the Mon County School district and has found her joy teaching, loving and supporting children and families in learning, and encouraging their pursuit of education.

She began "Monkey Buddies" initially as a summer club for children, developing literacy skills and teaching skill/arts such as sewing and cooking. In the classroom, her young students imaginative and creative play sparked her desire to create something they would enjoy, year 'round. Coloring books were specifically suited for developing fine motor skills, sparking imagination, and providing hours of fun. The "If I were..." series was born, and Monkey Buddies was the perfect name under which to publish.

Originally from California, Christina received her teaching degree and master's degree after the age of forty, through Lewis Clark State College in Idaho, and Cal U in Pennsylvania. She has called West Virginia her home for five years and has been married to Robert Dennis, a native of PA, since 2015. They have an energetic dog named Blue, and a mellow cat called Miso. Her motto is, "Do what makes your soul shine!" And she does just that.
