Roger D Gallizzi

California native Roger Gallizzi was born in Hollywood, California and graduated from Pasadena High School. He attended college and university in Southern California and in the Bay Area. His degrees are in Philosophy and Educational Leadership. A career educator, he retired as a school Superintendent of a large urban/suburban school district in Los Angeles County. Roger resides in a suburb of Las Vegas, Nevada and spends his time writing and traveling. His passions include cooking, drinking, gambling, and wine. He is the author of Italian Wanderings: The Gallizzi Family Cookbook, a collection of authentic Calabrian dishes, and is co-author of Like an Onion: The Las Vegas Skim. Other publications include: WHACKED! 50 Killer Recipes for going to the Mattresses, Wednesday Night at Roger and Jim’s, and An American Journey.
