I'm Alex Bond, an FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor and I hope you enjoy and find success in my ACS notes. I have sent over 100 applicants for FAA check rides. In my experience of training Private Pilot applicants, I started to notice a trend of applicants doing well on the flight portion of the check ride, but struggling on the oral portion of the check ride. The flight portion is pretty straight forward and easy to train towards, but the oral portion can potentially be so broad and it can be tough to study everything when you have to reference several different FAA handbooks and other source materials. These ACS notes have already proven extremely helpful to my private pilot applicants because it covers the oral portion of the check ride from start to finish thoroughly without being overwhelming. Every piece of information in the ACS Notes is cited with the specific FAA source material, so further studying can easily be done if needed on certain topics.
