Andrea Hellman, Ed.D. serves as a full professor in English at Missouri State University. She is a former assistant professor in teacher education and instructor in elementary education. Andrea is acclaimed for her TESOL publications and directs Show Me Multiliteracy, a National Professional Development grant project for in-service teachers of multilingual students. As a prolific fine artist, Andrea's digital paintings have garnered accolades, including Best in Show from the Gallery Ring; Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards from the J. Mane Gallery; Artist-of-the-Month and Bronze Awards from the Camelback Gallery; a Second Place Award from the Ten Moir Gallery; Solo Artist and Talent Prize Awards from Teravarna, and many more. She is a member of the Fresh Gallery and the Formed Gallery in Springfield, Missouri, USA. She is an emerging author in the realm of children's literature, with twelve published titles, including two award-winning books, Saving Noah and Wings of a Color. Drawing upon over 30 years of experience as an educator, she weaves each story with care and a deep understanding of what captivates children's hearts and minds. She manages every aspect of her books, from writing and illustrating to cover design and publishing, utilizing a full suite of modern digital tools, including digital painting, image editing, and image generation. Andrea's children's books are visually striking, with each page showcasing vibrant, meticulously polished artwork. The narratives are heartfelt and relevant, focusing on themes of overcoming adversity through wit, grit, resilience, the power of support from friends and family, and a profound appreciation for the beauty in life and nature.
