Q: What made you create notebooks specifically for children with dysgraphia? A: I am passionate about helping all children reach their potential. My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia a few years ago. It was so painful for me to watch her struggle but we provided her support and extra reading help. She really has come a long way and I'm so proud of all of her hard work! I did notice that as she got older she was reluctant to use "kindergarten paper" as her peers and friends began using regular ruled notebooks. She said it made her feel like a baby and I can see it was affecting her self esteem. So I created and printed these notebooks especially for her. Q: How are these different than what is already on the market? A: I couldn't find any notebooks that had trendy fun covers on the outside but the subtle guidelines that she needed on the inside.The writing support really works great for her Q: Why publish them? A: My hope is that it will help other students and families. AD Createstry has a PhD in Molecular Biology. She was born and raised in New York but currently lives in Maryland with her husband, daughter and fur baby.
