John Suchet

For over thirty years John was an ITN reporter and newscaster, covering world events like the Iran Revolution, the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, the Philippines Revolution, then presenting News at Ten and all ITN news bulletins. In 2008 the Royal Television Society awarded John its highest accolade, a Lifetime Achievement Award. John now indulges his love of classical music, presenting regularly on Classic FM. His new book on Beethoven (number 8!) will be published in October. Part biography, part memoir, it is a deeply personal account of how John’s love of Beethoven’s music, and his desire to know every aspect of the great man’s life, have become his lifelong passion.
