Caroline McDonald

As a little girl Caroline dreamed of being a teacher and would line up the neighborhood kids to play school. She studied literature and philosophy at Franciscan University, and before having children, taught high school English for seven happy years. She married her college sweetheart and served with her husband Tom as Co-Director of Family Life for the Archdiocese of Mobile. Together, they wrote a weekly column for their archdiocesan paper and other national Catholic publications. Fifteen years of homeschooling and five children later, she returned to her first love: the traditional classroom. She currently teaches middle school Religion and Latin at St. Ignatius Catholic School in Mobile, AL. She considers it a great joy and blessing to be able to share her faith with her students every day and is entering her 24th year of teaching. She also serves as the Family Life Coordinator in her parish. She enjoys keeping up with her five children, ages 14 to 26. She’s learned that you never stop praying for your children.
