Hailing from the vibrant city of Kingston, Jamaica, I am Deniece McKessey, a woman of many talents and a first-time author. My journey into the realm of storytelling was inspired by my darling daughter, Dara. My aim is to establish a lasting legacy for my cherished daughter by creating children’s books that serve as life-guiding tools.
As a loving mother to an energetic toddler, I find my muse in the awe and wonder of childhood. However, that’s just the beginning. My journey as an author is a rich tapestry woven with diverse experiences, opportunities, and exposures.
My background in education has honed my storytelling skills, influenced by my meaningful, albeit limited, interactions with the children I have taught. I harbor a deep passion for learning and fostering creativity, which I intend to channel into my enchanting tales.
With years of experience as a civil servant, I have adeptly managed a variety of personalities. I find joy in life’s unexpected twists and turns, using my vivid imagination as a trusty ally in overcoming daily challenges.
