Chhavi Arya Bhargava (she/her) is an Indian American Canadian entrepreneur and former elementary school teacher who believes we all have the power to build a more inclusive world. 🪔 Her latest book, A Kids Book About Diwali, helps grownups and kids better understand the Diwali holiday, fostering belonging and pride among those who celebrate. She is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal bestseller Beyond Diversity and co-founder of the Non-Obvious Company. She is also the co-founder of Ideapress Publishing. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Chhavi spent a decade teaching and introduced Canada's first multicultural curriculum on diversity and inclusion. She is also active with various nonprofits and advocacy groups, including the Girl Rising Campaign and SAYVA TEENS. Chhavi is an adventurous traveler and enjoys seeing many different regions of the world. She has hiked the sand dunes in Namibia, the glaciers in Patagonia and even survived a not-so-friendly encounter with a leopard while on safari! She lives in the Washington DC area with her husband and two teenage boys.
