Harry earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Virginia Tech University. He has over 40 years of operations management experience with a strong background in space management, real estate, facilities, and transportation.
Harry joined the Lung Transplant Foundation in 2010 because he felt the need to help find a cure for BOS, which is rejection. He organized the First Annual Lung Transplant Foundation Golf Tournament in June 2011 and has completed 7 tournaments since then. He has served as Vice President and since the death of our Founder, Jeff Goldstein, he has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board for this organization. In 2016, he was elected to the Town Council for Christiansburg, VA. He also has experience as a member of the Town Planning Commission for 12 years.
Harry was diagnosed with COPD and had a bilateral lung transplant at Duke University Medical Center in March 2010. He resides in Christiansburg, VA.
The most important thing in his life is his family, wife, children and grandchildren. He has 4 children, 2 step children, and 13 grandchildren. When he had his transplant, he only had 2 grandchildren. That shows what great things happen with transplants. He had the chance and honor to meet 11 more grandchildren after his transplant.
