Diljeet Taylor has dedicated her career to coaching female athletes at the collegiate level for over two decades. Raised in a strict Sikh family, Diljeet saw firsthand how gender roles and cultural expectations can affect a young girl’s growth, and how critical it is for girls to develop healthy relationships at a young age—especially with their father. Working closely with young women as a coach has uniquely shaped her understanding of the challenges girls face and the growth potential that results from overcoming them.
Her commitment and expertise have garnered significant recognition, including being honored as the NCAA Coach of the Year in 2021. She is the Women's Cross Country Head Coach and Associate Director of Track and Field at Brigham Young University and cofounded the BYU GIRLdad camp in 2020. When she’s not coaching young women on the field, she’s busy raising two boys of her own, alongside her husband, Ira.
