关于作者

My 'career' has not followed the conventional 'progress in a chosen profession’ route; rather I have followed the alternative definition of 'rushing headlong in an uncontrolled way' and have done many different jobs such as producing large scale events, having my own programme on Italian radio and once putting Europe’s biggest laser on top of a pyramid in Stockport. I have also written and directed films on all manner of subjects from deodorants to oil, from financial services to computer systems: not particularly glamorous subjects but I got to work with interesting people from Sir Michael Horden to Steve Coogan, John Humphrys to Krishnan Guru-Murthy. I'm also a working musician and in the past 10 years I have released 5 CD's of my own songs. I also perform regularly in many places – from Manchester to Mississippi and from Stockport to Sicily. 'Eloquently Barking' is a collection of anecdotes drawn from my life. Putting pen to paper (literally) to recount those stories came from writing a journal which I’ve been doing for over 20 years. Some of the stories go back to being at University, some come from our life in Italy and some are simply my ramblings about life.
