Dr. Kelsey Kirrene is a real-life space engineer, (pageant) queen, and girl mom. She has over a decade of experience passionately volunteering as a STEM education advocate. She holds a doctorate in education and multiple engineering degrees. She was featured as a co-author of Extraordinary Engineers: Female Engineers of This Day and Time: Volume 2. She aims to inspire the next generation of innovators to pursue engineering careers, especially girly girls like herself! To further this mission, she is also the founder and President of The Princess Program STEM, a California based non-profit that inspires young girls to pursue STEM careers, parents to build their children’s STEM confidence, and communities to redefine what it means to be a woman in STEM. Proceeds from book sales go to support the development of fairy-tale and princess play themed STEM educational materials, activities, and coloring pages.
