Born in the vibrant twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, Josie Sarana discovered her love for storytelling at an early age. After a fulfilling career, retirement allowed her the time to bring her passion to life.
Her journey into children’s literature began with a heartfelt request from her granddaughter: “Write a story about Ava and Sass.” This cherished moment sparked the creation of the beloved 5-part series ‘Ava’s Island Adventures’, designed to enchant readers aged 4 to 8 years with whimsical tales of friendship and discovery.
Building on this success, Josie launched ‘Ava and Sass’, a series aimed at older readers aged 7 to 10 years. These stories delve deeper into the adventures of Ava and her loyal dog Sass, offering more detailed narratives that challenge and engage young readers while continuing to spark their imagination and curiosity.
Josie’s books are crafted to make a meaningful difference, weaving lessons of kindness, courage, and resilience into thrilling adventures. With every story, she hopes to ignite a lifelong love of reading, leaving children inspired to dream, explore, and believe in the magic of possibility.
