Dr. Ronit Farzam’s love of poetry began when she was five years old and created a poem and gave it to her mom as a gift. At the age of eight, she began writing poetry and stories, and throughout the years, her poems, articles, and short stories have been published in different magazines. At the age of seventeen, she immigrated from Tehran to Los Angeles and continued to write poetry and stories both in English and Farsi. Ronit earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, English Literature, and Linguistics from UCLA. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from CSUN and another Master’s Degree as well as a PhD in Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is the author of three books, A Magical Journey, How I Feel When I hear No, and Metamorphosis (a Book of Poetry in Farsi). Dr. Farzam is the founder and Director of Center for Healing and Personal Growth, a mental health counseling center in Los Angeles. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, twin sons, and their two adorable cats.
