Trasi Judd

Trasi Judd, a dedicated wife, mother, and high-tech software professional, lives in Austin, Texas with her family and five snakes. Although her passion for reptiles didn't begin early in life, her love for reptiles emerged after her daughter asked for a snake as a pet in 2017. Initially hesitant due to a fear of snakes, she reassessed her position, allowed the snake, and overcame her fear. Captivated by their beauty, gentle nature, and calming presence, Trasi developed a deep affection for ball pythons and snakes in general. Her passion led her to become very involved in the reptile community, where she served as an active admin in three Facebook groups focused on snake husbandry, supporting new keepers with warmth and expertise. In 2019, she founded her own group, New Ball Python Keepers, where she and her dedicated admin team, trained mentors, and comprehensive educational resources have helped tens of thousands of members learn to care for their ball pythons and provide them an enriched and healthy life. Through ongoing education in herpetology and collaboration with experts and veterinarians, Trasi’s expertise in ball pythons keeps growing. Her approachable, humorous, and empathetic teaching style makes the complex world of reptile care more accessible and less daunting for new enthusiasts of these popular pet reptiles.
