Charisse Rubio is a certified spiritual director with a deep passion for guiding others on their spiritual journeys. Trained in the contemplative/evocative method and the 19th annotation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola at the renowned School of Spiritual Direction at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, Charisse brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to her work.
She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the Athenaeum of Ohio and has completed the special Women's Summer Study Program in Rome, Italy. In addition, Charisse has been a strong support for many years to Janet Lees, founder of Redeeming Eden Ministries, in training spiritual directors in the art of guiding others through the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life.
A convert to Catholicism, Charisse joyfully celebrated 25 years in the faith at the Easter Vigil in 2023 and has been a member of the Regnum Christi Federation for over 20 years. Her spiritual journey is enriched by her professional background, which includes singing professionally, holding executive management positions in Fortune 500 companies, and running her own consulting business. Beyond her professional achievements, Charisse is the mother of twin sons, who are now married and have families of their own.
The unwavering support of her husband, Tony, is a cornerstone of her life. Together, they share a strong Catholic faith, and in 2016, they founded a family ministry, Our Domestic Church, which is dedicated to accompanying individuals and couples through the various challenges that impact family life.
With a heart for those seeking healing and spiritual growth, she is dedicating her life to helping individuals encounter God in their everyday lives. Charisse is also the author of several spiritually enriching books and journals, offering readers practical insights and guidance rooted in her rich spiritual heritage. Her work is a testament to her commitment to fostering deep, transformative relationships with God and others.
When she’s not writing or offering spiritual direction, Charisse enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to jazz and big band music, and nurturing her own spiritual journey.
