Anthony Olatunji

关于作者

Anthony Olatunji (BSc. Cert Ed.) Anthony Olatunji is a dynamic force whose journey has spanned continents, causes, and communities. Starting his activism in the heart of Derbyshire and West Yorkshire, he worked tirelessly to organize and uplift marginalized voices before moving to London in the 1990s to further his studies. His first major work appeared in the highly respected British Medical Journal, marking the beginning of a prolific career in journalism. He soon became a regular contributor to The Voice, The Alarm, and local papers. As a lecturer at Derby Wilmorton College, Olatunji combined education with activism, fiercely advocating for the Anti-Apartheid movement and playing a pivotal role in early efforts for the Stephen Lawrence Campaign. His passion for justice and equality saw him gathering thousands of signatures and mobilizing communities both locally and globally. Olatunji’s quest for understanding the depths of human experience has led him on profound journeys. He has visited the haunting remnants of Terezín, the concentration camp where Jewish prisoners suffered and perished during World War II, as well as Bruce Island, off the coast of Sierra Leone, one of the last remaining slave ports. In Barbados, he stood on the shores of Bridgetown, where Africans were once forcibly bought and sold into slavery—a sobering reflection of history’s atrocities. His travels have taken him beyond these sites of pain and resilience.
