Willie A Alvarenga

Willie A. Alvarenga is a 2001 graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching. He earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Heritage Christian University and an M.A. in New Testament from Amridge University.

Willie has been preaching for 24 years and has spoken throughout the United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panama. He has authored and edited more than 80 books in both Spanish and English and for the last 20 years he has been the director of the Brown Trail School of Preaching Spanish Department. In addition to his work at Brown Trail, he serves as the pulpit minister for the Brown Trail Iglesia de Cristo. He is also the weekly speaker for the Spanish YouTube program, “The Truth in Love.” For the last 18 years, he has been the editor for the quarterly publication, “Instructing the Brethren.”

Willie and his wife, Lucy, have two daughters: Maggie and Vanessa, and two granddaughters, Melania and Mayla. Maggie is married to Marco Arroyo, the pulpit minister for the Seagoville Church of Christ in Seagoville, TX.
