Peter Dunham

Peter Dunham is an award-winning interior, textile, and furnishings designer based in Los Angeles and New York. His European upbringing and avid travels inform his international style, which WSJ calls “restraint with a kick.” Dunham’s work embraces color and pattern while mixing bespoke furnishings and vintage finds with modern luxuries. His sophisticated, inviting spaces and energetic process tend to attract a creative set: Dunham counts Oscar- and Emmy-winning actors and directors, media executives, writers and fashion designers among his design clients.

To celebrate Dunham’s place on ELLE Decor’s exclusive A-List, client Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared: "I'd always loved and admired Peter's fabrics and designs from afar, but assumed he'd be a fancy-pants, snooty type. When I met him, however, he was so real and down to earth that I felt as if l'd known him all my life-and wished I had."

Dunham and his design team specialize in restoring landmarked houses and collaborating with renowned architects on ground up projects. Recent projects include a modernist Marmol Radziner house overlooking the Pacific, residences in Los Angeles, Napa Valley, Newport Beach, New York City, Dallas, Southampton, Montana and an iconic 1963 Horace Gifford house on Fire Island.

Peter Dunham Textiles, Dunham’s beloved fabric and wallpaper collection is sold through 20 showrooms worldwide. To house his growing collections of furnishings, Peter opened his own showrooms: Hollywood at Home in the Los Angeles design district and Peter Dunham Home & Garden in New York City.

His first book, The World of Peter Dunham, published with Vendome, comes out on April 29th, 2025, and features nearly a dozen never-before-seen projects from New York penthouses to ocean-front properties on the Pacific. Dunham’s interiors, expertise, and designs have been featured in Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor, The New York Times, The Washington Post, WSJ, Veranda, House and Garden, House Beautiful, Coastal Living, Domino, Hollywood Reporter, The Los Angeles Times, and more. He has appeared as himself on Bravo and PBS.
