Michelle’s musical journey began with her 100-year-old violin, earning a BM in classical violin performance from UNC, which set her on a global path, performing alongside renowned artists. After launching her career in symphonies, she took a daring leap from the classical world to tour with icons Wayne Newton, Tony Orlando, and Andy Williams as the youngest member ever hired for the road. Thirteen years in Nashville expanded her repertoire, where she played with country stars, jazz legends, and Christian artists on the famous Music Row. She’s performed on iconic stages, from Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center to Red Rocks. Michelle now shares the stage with her band family, WireWood Station, the award-winning acoustic group she founded and manages. Under her leadership, WireWood Station has won multiple "Best Band" titles in Colorado, along with "Best Acoustic Band" at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival. Most recently, they earned a top-3 spot nationally at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, opening for legends like Charlie Daniels, Randy Travis, Sawyer Brown, Phil Vassar, and Dwight Yoakam. She’s also the author of the Amazon bestseller How to Break into the Local Music Scene (and make money!) and has been honored with multiple "Best Musician" Gold awards from Gazette readers. A sought-after music educator, podcast guest, and speaker, Michelle’s mission is to connect with audiences for a joyful, foot-stomping good time.
