David J Platt grew up amongst the industrial decline of Northern England. Folks used to say “It’s grim up North” and it was, it was beautifully grim and David loved it.
He has a varied background in engineering, transport, social work, hospitality and retail. His interests include science, politics and history.
Now semi-retired, with time to write and a lifetime of experience to draw on, he’s setting sail on the sea of literature; it’s a voyage that’s been beckoning for many years.
Characters and dialogues are David’s passion and his debut novel, Centenarian, has them in spades; sprinkled with a liberal helping of twists and turns and set in a future that’s almost upon us, it’ll intrigue and shock you but most of all it’ll entertain you.
