John Michael Langley is a writer and historian originally from Linden, New Jersey. His formal education and training is in the field of Information Technology, but he has been a lifelong creative writer and voracious reader. At age 50 he left the corporate world behind and took an extended sabbatical, during which he spent over 5,000 hours personally restoring his Chesapeake Bayfront cottage. After starting and growing a successful business of his own, he now lives in semi-retirement in Southern New Jersey - just minutes away from his beloved Atlantic Ocean.
Mr. Langley is a world-recognized authority in his other areas of interest, and his achievements include two US Patents, and the Prof. DR. Gerhard Knoechlein award for his extensive contributions to research and preservation.
Above all else, he considers himself fortunate to have been born during what many consider to be the golden age of popular music. His love for this art form continues to this day.
