I was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, I grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture and spirit of the New Orleans area. After Hurricane Katrina, my family and I moved to a small town in Acadiana, which added a new layer to my appreciation for Louisiana's unique way of life. As one of four siblings, I quickly learned the value of both independence and teamwork (and maybe a little mischief too!). I've always had a deep love for animals, the kind that made my house feel a bit like a petting zoo at times. Writing a children's book was never really on my radar, but here I am - turns out, it's one of the most exciting adventures yet!
