Helen has authored two books with her daughter: Chelsea Green published The Healthy Bones Nutrition Plan and Cookbook in 2016. In translation the Healthy Bones was published in Spanish by Editorial SIRIO titled Huesos Sanos, and in German by Mobiwell Verlag titled Gesunde Knochen. Laura and Helen created 100 bone health recipes for that book. In 2022 Laura undertook to find out how to redress the nutritional deficits that left some plant based consumers with bone density decline even at very young ages including children as young as aged ten. Once she knew the answer, we wrote the second bone health book, The Healthy Bones Plant Based Nutrition Plan and Cookbook. Chef Jummee Park created a stunning collection of bone-strengthening recipes for this book. Helen says: Working with Laura has been inspiring, and has helped me understand that age is just a number. I am writing a book now about my volunteer work with hundreds of excluded students in inner city schools and convicets in five Category C prisons to thank each and every one of my students for pursuing a commitment to education as the route to a constructive, productive, admired life.
