Their goal is to inspire readers to find the gardening gnome inside them, uncovering the fun, joy, and magic of gardening. Their work is informative yet straightforward, aiming to deliver clear guidance to those who want to grow their own food, no matter what experience level they’re starting from. Gardener Gnome is the combined endeavor of two friends who began their journey as roommates with a love of keeping fresh herbs in the kitchen. Over time, both their skills and their living conditions grew, and they began nurturing more and more plants until they were both gardening on a much larger scale. As a team, they draw on the experience and knowledge they’ve gained on their own journeys, as well as that of trusted gardening experts. The founding members of Gardener Gnome simply love gardening and find endless beauty in tending and harvesting plants. They’ve been gardening for over 12 years, and as they’ve experienced the healing power of nature, they’ve found a new passion for passing their knowledge on to others. What began as a hobby for the two friends became a way of life, and their priorities shifted, causing them to seek a simpler life with more land to devote to growing their own food. Both members of Gardener Gnome now have young children, and they’re passionate about teaching them the importance of being a part of the life cycle of their food. They keep a close relationship with their earliest urban gardening mentors and call on them as contributing writers as they seek to make gardening accessible to everyone, no matter their living situation or gardening goals.
