JP G. Hovel

JP Gaspard, known as JP G. Hovel, is a 3rd-grade teacher in Denver with a passion for teaching English as a second language. Originally from Haiti, he began school at age 11 in an orphanage and worked hard to overcome educational barriers. At 17, he self-taught himself English as a third language. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education in May 2023, emphasizing Culturally Linguistically Diverse studies. One of JP's goals is to share his knowledge and skills to improve education in Haiti.
