Living in Calgary, AB, with her supportive husband, two energetic kids, two cats, and a Golden Retriever named Barkley, Holly Current is an elementary teacher and the author of two children’s books: Rupert Goes to Pet School and her latest release, Santa’s Skates.
From a young age, Holly has been an avid reader and writer, always creating stories for fun. It has long been her dream to become an author—a goal she continues to pursue not only for herself but also to show her children that moms have dreams too! She believes you are never too old to chase your dreams and hopes to inspire her kids and students to never give up on finding their own passions in life.
A graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Bachelor of Education from St. Mary’s University College, Holly has thoroughly enjoyed the creative side of teaching. In the classroom, she encourages her students to use their imaginations, helping them explore their own stories and ideas.
When she’s not teaching or writing, Holly enjoys reading a wide variety of genres, cooking new recipes with her husband, and spending quality time with friends and family. She finds joy in the little things and believes that every day offers an opportunity for adventure and learning.
