Nicole Breland Aandahl is a lawyer and foreign policy wonk who has studied and worked extensively in Europe. She is a second-generation graduate of Howard University, where she studied Russian and the shifting landscape of the Cold War post-1991. Nicole has appeared on several podcasts to discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in international affairs. Her op-eds and short stories have appeared in various publications. MOTHERLAND is her first novel.
