I am a social worker with over a decade of experience focused on supporting at-risk youth. My journey in this field began with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals who face significant challenges. In addition to my work as a social worker, I have ventured into publishing activity books specifically designed for young people. These books are crafted with at-risk youth in mind, providing engaging and educational activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and building skills. However, I believe that these resources hold value for individuals of nearly any age, making them accessible to a broader audience. My commitment to creating these materials stems from my desire to provide tools that can inspire hope and resilience in young people, nurturing their potential to break out of their bad situations. As I strive to enhance my contributions to the community, I am currently facing a personal challenge. My family home, which has been a cherished part of our lives since the 1950s, is at extreme risk of being lost due to imminent domain. The urgency of this situation cannot be overstated. It is not merely about a physical structure; it represents a lifetime of memories, heritage, and the goals of my great-grandmother whom bought the house. Losing this home would not only disrupt my life but also diminish the sense of community I have tirelessly worked to cultivate among the youth I support. It would also mean I have no home of my own to retire to. Your support will enable me to address my current crisis while continuing to serve the community and touch the lives of the youth.
