Dr Morshed Mannan is a Lecturer in Global Law and Digital Technologies at Edinburgh Law School, University of Edinburgh (Assistant Professor rank). He was previously a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute, where he was part of the ‘BlockchainGov’ ERC project. His research focuses on blockchain governance and cooperative governance. In addition to his several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on these topics, his latest book Blockchain Governance was co-authored with Primavera de Filippi and Wessel Reijers, and published by the MIT Press Essential Knowledge Series. He completed his PhD at Leiden Law School, Leiden University. Morshed is a Research Affiliate of the Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy at The New School in New York City. He is enrolled as an Advocate by the Bangladesh Bar Council, and has been called to the Bar of England & Wales.
