The Azalea Wren team grew up camping in the state parks of the North American Great Lakes region. We got dirty on hikes through hardwood forests, swam in chilly rivers lined with pines, and watched the dark sky fill with stars in the light of campfires. Today, our adventures continue in the Great Smoky Mountains area with children of our own.
Together, we’ve explored a wide array of life skills, from graphic design to piano teaching, and merged our first-hand observations of plant and animal life with our technical and artistic experiences. Years of working and learning side by side with children has led us to firmly believe that all children learn best when taught in a collaborative environment that crosses all boundaries of age and experience. Through our stories, we hope to engage children’s interests while providing a springboard of curiosity for further exploration.
