Dianne Sutherland has always been passionate about painting and nature, pursuing studies in both art and science to enrich her work. This led to her becoming a professional botanical artist and illustrator, as well as a tutor of botanical illustration. Her preferred media is watercolour and graphite, and more recently she has developed a growing enthusiasm for sketchbooks. Dianne is always keen to raise awareness of the importance of plants through her art, and utilises sketchbooks to document plants both near to home and those encountered during her travels.
