Luna Monroe is a passionate storyteller and advocate for empowering young minds. As the author of Brave Hearts: 40 Stories of Courage for Young Girls, Luna aims to inspire confidence, resilience, and self-belief in children through meaningful and engaging stories.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Luna developed a love for literature at a young age, often escaping into the world of books for comfort and inspiration. She pursued her passion academically, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Washington, where she focused on modern narratives and storytelling for younger audiences. Later, she completed a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Emerson College in Boston, honing her craft and exploring themes of growth, kindness, and inner strength.
Before becoming a full-time author, Luna worked as an educator, teaching creative writing and literature to middle school students. This experience deepened her understanding of the challenges young readers face, inspiring her to craft stories that not only entertain but also empower. Her background as a teacher influences her unique storytelling style, combining imaginative plots with practical life lessons.
Luna’s debut book, Brave Hearts, is a blend of motivational tales, actionable challenges, and creative reflection activities designed to resonate with young readers and their families. Each story includes an exclusive audio narration feature, making Brave Hearts an innovative mix of traditional and modern storytelling.
When she’s not writing, Luna enjoys exploring nature, volunteering with youth development programs, and diving into a good book. She currently lives in New York City, where she continues to write stories that inspire courage and self-discovery in the next generation.
