Adreanna Carter J. is a third-generation educator, Montessori-certified teacher, and founder of Roots of Excellence Education Group. With a passion for fostering creativity and cultural pride in children, Adreanna draws on her deep expertise in child development and Pan-African education to create engaging, meaningful stories that celebrate heritage and community.
Her debut children’s book, Ru & Zuri's Christmas Mission, reflects her commitment to empowering young readers through representation and storytelling. A mother and Human Developmental Scientist, Adreanna blends her professional expertise and personal experiences to inspire joy and curiosity in children. When she’s not writing, she’s curating educational spaces that nurture the whole child and their connection to the world.
Adreanna lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband and their young daughter, who continues to inspire her work with boundless creativity and wonder.
