Hi, I'm Sarah Starr, and Nine Lives is my first published book. While it's a work of fiction, the near-death experiences of the protagonist, Kat, are inspired by my own life. Each close call has shaped who I am today and has instilled in me a profound appreciation for life's fragility and resilience. At 48, I embarked on an extraordinary journey, discovering my biological father through 23 & Me. This incredible experience added a new dimension to my understanding of family and identity, enriching my life with new connections and perspectives. I'm also the proud mother of a wonderful son who has Cystic Fibrosis. His strength and courage have been a constant source of inspiration for me, teaching me the true meaning of resilience and determination. Through Nine Lives, I hope to share my journey and the lessons I've learned along the way. Writing this book has been a deeply personal and cathartic experience, and I'm excited to share it with you.
