Bronwyn Rich Bamber’s roots run deep in the flat, dry plains of Southeastern Colorado’s Baca County. Her ancestors, on both her mother’s and father’s sides, braved the prairies in covered wagons, seeking to build a life in the unforgiving landscape once home to the Apache and Comanche peoples. Their first homes were simple dugouts with dirt floors, and through grit and determination, these proud, hardworking settlers survived the Dust Bowl of the “Dirty Thirties,” ultimately making Baca County the “Broomcorn Capital of the World.” Bronwyn represents the fourth generation of this resilient lineage, growing up in a close-knit farming community shaped by strength, integrity, and an enduring pioneer spirit. When she once asked her father about her nationality for a school project, he simply replied, “Just tell your teacher you came from good, strong Baca County stock.” That sentiment, rooted in pride and simplicity, defined her upbringing.

Her idyllic childhood took a sudden and unexpected turn with the death of her father. Learning to survive in the darkness of death at the age of 14 was a life-altering tragedy that taught her early about how to find her strength and her resilience.

Years later, Bronwyn embarked on a journey of personal and professional growth, overcoming the challenge of single parenthood and financial hardship while pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams. With determination and creativity, she launched WynWyn, Inc., pioneering three websites that offer the largest selection of business and personal check designs in the U.S. These ventures allowed her to achieve financial stability and begin to relax and enjoy life.

However, just as her life began to stabilize, Bronwyn was faced with an even greater challenge: a diagnosis of multiple meningioma brain tumors. This diagnosis tested her limits but also led her to discover profound lessons in resilience, gratitude, and the healing power of love. She learned to focus on the good in every situation, embracing patience and finding joy amidst adversity.

Today, Bronwyn enjoys semi-retirement and pursuing her natural talents and interests, of which she has several. She is a gifted pianist, a creative cook, talented water-color artist, and a loving mother and grandmother. She enriches her life by indulging in her passions - traveling, shelling, rockhounding, and glamping in the beautiful state parks all across our nation.

In her memoir, Perfectly Broken, Bronwyn shares her story with unflinching honesty, humor, and hope. She offers inspiration to anyone navigating life’s challenges or supporting someone who is, inviting readers to discover their inner strength and the beauty in being Perfectly Broken.
