Shinetra Sanders

SHINETRA discovered a love for literature at a young age. Growing up as a thoughtful Black girl facing life's challenges, writing became her refuge. She writes this book for every child who may not yet know how important they are—hoping to inspire them to realize they are wonderful and special just as they are. Shinetra and her wonderful husband are the proud parents of two amazing children, ages 12 and 11. With a Master's Degree in Social Work, she now shares her passion for reading and writing in public schools, empowering children from all backgrounds. She is dedicated to helping young voices be heard, showing them that their thoughts and opinions matter. Her dream is to become a successful author, focusing on children's books, self-help, and to one day publish her own autobiography.
