I’ve been a storyteller for as long as I can remember, though for most of my life, the stories stayed safely tucked away in my mind. As an introvert with ADHD, I’ve always had a tendency to get lost in my imagination, dreaming up vivid worlds and characters that feel as real as the people around me. Last year, I made the difficult choice to step away from a life that was breaking me and move toward something better—a choice that ultimately brought me to a place of peace and happiness. Once I was in a safe and stable space, it was as if the floodgates opened. Ideas for my debut fantasy series began to pour into me, as though I had finally found the freedom to create. For weeks, I lived entirely in my head, taking notes, building worlds, and crafting characters I grew to love like family. My two teenage daughters were my biggest cheerleaders, pushing me to believe in myself and take the leap to write my first book. Their encouragement gave me the courage to turn my daydreams into something real. Writing became more than a creative outlet; it was a lifeline, helping me work through challenges and bringing me joy I hadn’t felt in years. Now, not only is my debut novel complete, but the second book in the series is finished and ready for editing, and the third has been written as a first draft. While my heart is firmly in writing, I’m also studying psychology—a field that fascinates me because I’ve lived and survived through dark times. I’m a big champion of mental health and passionate about helping others navigate their own struggles. Understanding the resilience of the human mind and heart inspires not only my studies but also the characters I create and the stories I tell. When I’m not writing or studying, I’m making memories with my seven wonderful kids and our four cats, who keep life full of love and laughter. My greatest hope is that my stories will connect with readers who, like me, find comfort and magic in books. If my journey has taught me anything, it’s that even the hardest choices can lead to something beautiful—and it’s never too late to chase your dreams or rewrite your story.
