Glenna Frey

Glenna Frey has over 40 years of experience in nephrology nursing, specializing in dialysis, kidney transplantation, and patient education. In 2017, she donated a kidney to a stranger and later co-founded Kidney Donor Conversations (KDC) to support living kidney donation. The author of Understanding Living Kidney Donation: The Best Treatment for Kidney Disease, Glenna has contributed to various books and journals. She is an active member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association, the National Kidney Donation Organization, and the National Kidney Foundation. Many of her relatives have Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and have received kidney transplants. Glenna also specializes in holistic therapies, holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and enjoys hula hooping, crocheting, and native plant gardening. She lives in Northwest Ohio with her husband, dog, and cat, and cherishes time with her children and granddaughter.
