TJ Davis is an author, coach, environmentalist, mental health advocate, national park geek, science teacher, travel enthusiast, 15-time Ironman triathlete, trail runner, and ultrarunner. He has been to 43 of our nation’s 63 national parks, and is working to raise and earn more money to eventually be able to visit all of our national parks. He has written several books, including this series of National & State Park Travel Itineraries. He has also written his memoir “TRIPOLAR: The Story of a Bipolar Triathlete”, which chronicles his journey from childhood trauma into multiple addictions until finally recovering and discovering nature, trail running, triathlons and ultrarunning as important tools to help him stay sober and in recovery. He has also written By day, he works as a high school science teacher and coach in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Lastly and most importantly, he is happily married for over 27 years and a father of 3 children.
