A recipient of Hofstra’s Researcher of the Year Award and the Lawrence A. Stessin Prize for Outstanding Scholarly Publication, Dr. Merna also leads diversity and mentorship initiatives, including the STEM Peer Mentorship Program and the Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Community.
